The Strange Co.for India Art Fair
This collaboration with India Art Fair is special in so many ways. From brainstorming the shape of the ware, taking inspiration from the soft, natural form of a tulip, to spending time with the artists whose work now lives on our espresso cups, the entire process felt deeply personal. Watching art move from an artist’s world into an everyday object was incredibly fulfilling. Every step, from early ideas and sketches to final making, has been exciting and full of intention. It truly feels like a full-circle moment, where art, design, and craft come together to create something meaningful and meant to be lived with.
Meet The Artists
-
Shreni
She builds immersive
environments from light, sound, soil and found organic material to create installations that behave like breathing landscapes. -
Farhin
Her practice takes everyday objects and domestic memories as points of entry into larger questions of identity, cultural continuity and political violence.
-
Arun
Arun’s practice tries to make sense of the world he inhabits, drawing equally from sculpture and from everday architectures of survival: tools, debris, organic matter, industrial remnants.
